Hi there! I just picked up two, 14-week chicks. Both of their chest bones feel very pronounced. They are eating, drinking, and forging just fine but could they be underweight or do they start to fill out a bit more in the coming weeks?

Not sure since i can't see the hen, could you post some photos?

I wouldn't worry about them feeling thin. Usually if they continue to eat and drink well then they will stabilize soon enough. If that doesnt happen, then maybe it could be the breed itself.

Love the Hens! she will pack on the weight when there is bugs around. I spoil my hens with tuna!
