Growing up, I was always skinny...too skinny... I'm 5'4"

In H.S. I had a 19" waist.

In college, I finally broke 100lbs

When I got married, I was 125lbs

Before I was pregnant, I was 137 and felt "fat."

One baby later, I gained 32lbs when I pregnant and almost died after the birth of my daughter (HELLP Syndrome, a different story)--anyway, I lost everything I'd gained after the birth and was back to 137 and then the weight has slowly crept back on. My daughter turned 1 this month and I was hoping to be back down to around 130 by now...

I was looking at photos from my daughter's birthday and I look like a heifer.

I eat pretty healthy, no candy or junk food...carbs are a weakness for sure...

I would like to lose 10-15lbs. I plan to start running (I need some new running shoes because the Nikes I've had for 7 years are shot) and I hope to be down 10lbs before the holidays.

I've tried Spark & Weight-Watchers, I signed up for Loseit.com...

Anyone else want to do this with me? I'll even put some pictures up of me as I look now...and then do updates....I need some support & motivation.

I'd love to join you! I'm planning on losing 10-20 lbs. in the next few months, too. My problem is just that I eat too much. My husband says I must have a great metabolism or else I'd weigh in around 400 lbs.! I love healthy food but I also have an addiction to sweets and carbs...I could have pasta for every meal. I'm 5'9" and my frame hides my weight well if I dress right, but I'm flying out to NYC in a couple of months for a romantic weekend with hubby and I really want to fit into my cute fall clothes again.

In high school my weight fluctuated between 120 to 135 lbs. When I drop below 130, though, I look too skinny and don't like it. People tend to ask if I'm sick and doctors accuse me of starving myself.

In college, a diet of pizza, beer and mac and cheese put me around 145. I liked that weight and still looked slim.

I got up to 180 lbs. with my first baby, but quickly went back down to 155 thanks to breastfeeding. I think that is my ideal weight.

During my second pregnancy, I was already heavier thanks to some meds I was taking and I shot up to 200 lbs. at the end. This time the weight did not fall off! I'm down to 180 lbs. now. I just don't feel attractive anymore and I want to make a change. I've started working out 5 days a week and filled my fridge with fresh veggies and lean protiens. I'm trying to be careful with portion sizes and limit carbs and sweets. I've found that if I set a specific calorie limit per day I feel awful and eventually rebel and binge.

The sad thing is, I don't have any non-photo shopped full body pictures! lol Any time I see a full length picture of me, I slightly edit it.

For the sake of experimentation, I may get around to taking one!

I am using the lose it app on my phone.Even got my dh to use it.It was an eye opener for him to see the nutrition facts on meals he is eating. I started
8-3 and have lost 10 pounds so far. When I was preggo I gained 60 pounds with each kid.Well 10 was just the babies each time, but still 40 to 50 pounds was a lot...and this was healthy eating, lol. I walk and work in the yard.If I had a gym pass I would probably swim too.I have a few dvds.Walk at home ones are pretty good. The Jillian Michaels left me sore for days.Bet wishes!

Wanted to wish you good luck!

Between the infertility drugs, getting out of the Army, etc etc etc - I was a hot mess. In the last three years I have lost thirty pounds and gained a huge amount of muscle. I have been doing yoga since my babygirl (adopted in '09) was about 5 months old.
The only diet I did was to eliminate some processed food. But we dont really eat fast food or drink sodas anyway. So I pretty much ingnored the diet side. I didnt cut much out, just added in more healthy veggies. I still put away the ice cream, let me tell ya!

I do yoga two or three times a week for about an hour and a half at our community center. They have childcare and even though between the farm and life in general I dont have time, I make time. I made it mandatory. So yoga class had to come first no matter what else was going on.
Another thing I did was to decrease stress in a few ways. I quit watching the news and dropped a lot of stressful things like talking to certain family members and "friends."
I basically put my marriage, my child and my health above everything else and let the rest of the world handle whatever else it thought.

I'm talking about this because its been so amazing for me to have my energy back, to feel attractive again, to be strong like I was as a soldier even though I am middle aged farmer lady.

So I want to wish you the best- you will feel so good if you just set yourself something small and stick to it. (I will go to this class once a week- without fail)

Also watch out for running. I used to run like it was a drug. (Army hooah) but now my knees and feet can't do it. When I was heavy I wanted to run to lose weight but that can be really dangerous. The extra weight made it impossible so I tried yoga. It has CHANGED MY LIFE!

Dh's sister is using herbal life(?) and swears by that. I don't know what it is,but since I have lost about the same weight just counting cals and walking I won't buy the stuff.Don't have the money anyway. Figure green tea is just as good. I was 189.5 this am.Sweet. I have been trying to get under 190 for a while. I even ate a huge meal last night! Best wishes and congrats to those losing. My kids do yoga in their Montessori school and seem to like it.

I forgot to mention that my job is a desk/computer job...so that doesn't help. When I was pregnant, I did buy myself a pedometer and it's kind of "fun" to try and out do myself each day.

I have the lose it app on my ipod so I've started using that too...I don't have internet at work though, so I can't really update it throughout the day...
