I have a small backyard flock of 9 little ladies. The beginning of August, I notice my biggest Easter Egger was kind of hanging back, and moving slow. Then my son called me at work to let me know she had vomited. She had some diarrhea going on. I then noticed that she was nothing but skin and bones, she was a big heavy bird! I also noticed at that time that she had lice, and was not very steady on her feet. Even though she seemed to be the only one with lice, I bathed all my girls, and have been dusting them, and seem to have no more lice problems. I took my Easter Egger and put her in our winter coop away from the other girls. I fed her oat meal a couple times, gave her an antibiotic that I had from when they were little, and had a little bit of the chicken sniffles. She pulled out of it. She is back to her old self, and I've put her back in the general population. Last night all the same symptoms, minus the lice seem to have started with my youngest girl, a little silver laced Wyandotte. She's vomiting green slime, skin and bones, a little off balance, I wouldn't say she has diarrhea, but did notice some slimy brown stools in the coop I assume are from her. Still eats and drinks, she's very bright eyed. I've got her separated, and I think she'll be ok. I will do all of what I did with the last bird. I am just wondering if anyone might know what I've had going on here? I would like to prevent it in the other girls, and better help my poor little girl if I can!! They're summer home is a large chicken tractor that gets moved at least once a day, and is kept very clean.

Thanks in advance. I have had great luck getting advice from the other users on this site!!
