My gals are 18 weeks old. I went out to check on them this morning (hoping for an egg). When I got to the coop I found every single one of them wandering around the coop. The have free access to their run, and are always outside when I go out to check on them. Is there any particular reason they would be hanging out inside like that? The weather is miserable here, but it's the same weather we've been having for the last week... And-- still no eggs... =/

Maybe someone is getting ready to lay and they want to cheer her on!

With this heat and humidity we are haveing, I find that my chickens are spending more time inside as well. And, the egg production is very low. Now the darned things are starting to molt! drats! Im sure they are just trying to stay cool. With this heat, I bet it takes a bit longer for your gals to lay....maybe when we get a cool down.
