Okay please don't laugh as I am new to fresh eggs....but this thing was attached to the yolk where the spot/bullseye is located. The egg was only three days old at most. What is it? It felt like a thick bubble when I squished it with the fork. And it wouldn't break. Gross. It even has a face! lol
My husband looked at it and said "well so much for eating our eggs".

Tell hubby "NO...so much for eating THAT egg!)
Sorry I cant help you out on that ball-thingy; I'm gonna let one of the more knowlegeable members field that--and wait for the answer myself!

Probably another egg actually, just a mini one. If your girls are just starting to lay, their equipment often has glitches for awhile.

My DH says that now about eating our eggs. Little does he know, I cook with them. Te he! I have no idea what that is but my first reaction was "Ewww, gross!" Trash can time. Yes, could be a mini egg yolk but that fact that it wouldn't break is weird.

I'd say it might just be another egg. It sometimes happens, just not as small as yours.

LOL. Thanks all. The scrambled eggs were for the dogs or I would have left the thingy out;-)
And yes, these girls just started laying about a month ago.

malfunction in the egg wrapping factory. it probably if just a floating egg particle that gat wrapped and then was wrapped again.
