Weird black or dark brown pebble looking thing found inside egg?

I am making some lemon bars using 4 eggs. The last one I cracked had this pebble looking thing inside, either dark reddish/brown or black. It tinged part of the egg white reddish. I have no drakes, female ducks only. It's about impossible to separate this whole egg out so I went ahead and used it after taking the pebble thing out. It seems somebody made a little "extra" something...

Has anyone seen this happen before or know what it could be?

IDK but when I use any of my eggs I ALWAYS break it into a clear pyrex custard cup before using any of them. I do candle them but still I don't want any surprises or throw some weird egg into a bowl with lots of good ingredients in it!

Yep learned my lesson there. I'll be breaking into a separate dish before using them in the future. I used the only 2 lemons I had so no do overs on this one.

I feel pretty certain that they are safe to eat, just unappealing. The ducks themselves are healthy, the eggs are fresh, I know what their diet has been. I figure it was something wonky with the egg production. Like a double yolk or egg inside an egg or something.

I guess it could just be a one-off anomaly. If more eggs have it I'll need to investigate more. Supposedly meat spots (if that is what this was) are more common in older birds but mine are 8 months old.
