Weird Breathing?

So… one of our inherited elderly ladies started breathing with her mouth open a few days ago, like she would if she were hot (which is what I thought was going on). However it has continued. So, I quarantined her, listened to her chest with a stethoscope, which sounded clear, palpitated her abdomen gently (read somewhere pain could make them do this?), and everything seemed normal, and took her temp (never want to have that experience again) and it was normal (105.4F)… she is not pulling on her sides, at least not that I can tell (I am not a vet), and has a normal appetite and behavior, other than being very mad at me because she’s locked up. It costs $400 for an aviary vet visit here on avg, so before I go that route does anyone have any ideas of what it might be? None of my other zillion chickens I have around here are exhibiting any symptoms of anything.

Does she lay eggs anymore? What does her lower belly under her vent look like? Is it enlarged or fuller than the other hens, or bluish in color?

Sorry, I accidentally got logged out of my account and I couldn’t get back in. She is still doing weird breathing, but she seems OK. She lays eggs every once in a while, but she is not egg bound… or at least I don’t think she is. Her abdomen feels just like the normal breathers.
