Weird chicken poop

I just moved a chicken to a new coop, and he had a stool that looked like butterscotch in both color and texture. Is this chicken ok? I plan on butchering him in about a week. Thank you. Also we have ticks really bad right now. Is this a concern with chickens and their spreading disease to them?

Welcome to BYC. That sounds like a cecal poop which occurs about every 9-10 times they go. It is normal unless they are doing every time. Worms can cause foamy poops. I have never had trouble with ticks on my chickens, although they are everywhere. There is a poultry tick that can spread a disease called brachyspira or spirochetosis.
