Weird Chicken Rumbling noise. Is this anything

It’s a little subtle but just listen close. This hen in particular makes this sound ONLY at the end of the day a few times before doing something else (im out all day and only hear her do this at the end of the day). For background she is around 25-30 weeks old

Is this a respitory illness or should i do anything to confirm it is? Any other thoughts?

Sounds like she’s just responding to seeing you. I wouldn’t worry - respiratory issues would be sneezing - wheezing - watery / bubbly eyes. Sounds like normal chicken communication to me.

My hens make that sound sometimes. They seem to make that sound when seeing something peculiar or when alerting to other chickens. Its a cute noise.

Chickens sometimes make "purring" noises- maybe that's what she is aiming for.
