weird comb prob.

I've got a roo with a nice big comb and close towards the top of the comb there is a swelling about as big around as my finger. could this be from having it pecked as we did introduce a new roo lately? and its sort of soft and puffy if that helps any. I don't think pics would show

Try separating the roosters for now, just to be sure until you know what's going on. Does the swelling look bloody? Bag balm is wonderful on combs and applying some to the surface helps with cuts and other surface issues, but if the swelling's internal, I don't know what you'd do about it. Maybe talk to a vet?

no, it doesn't look bloody, its actually lighter than the rest of the comb.

its dark now that I see your post, but the color isn't much different than the rest of the comb, so I don't think it will show in the pic. but I can try tommorrow
