Weird Coturnix Quail crying?

One of my quail is making a weird crying sound that sounds very much like a baby crying. It's a high pitched 'Aaaaah hahaha haaaaaaaa' sound. I thought it was one of my cockatiels, but today I heard the quail making it. I hope everything is okay with them! ANyone else ever experience this sound?

If you could post a video to YouTube and link it here, we might have a better chance of identifying it. If it sounded like this, then it was a crow.

Not a crow, unless one of my hens has a lot of testosterone. I'm going to try to change the feeder and see if the crying is them trying to tell me they're not getting enough food. It really does sound like a baby crying in the distance. I'll try to film it if I can.

That might be egg song. Normally I describe egg song as like an exaggerated, long, cartoon bomb dropping sound, often accompanied by what sounds like laser fire haha.

That's EXACTLY what it sounds like . It's the most bizarre sound, especially when it sounds like my cockatiels are making the noise :O

Found a clip on Youtube of the crying noise. Turns out it **is** 'Egg Song' I don't think my previous quail ever made that noise. Huh. Thanks everyone

Hey something similar here except that I have not found the answer to my quails sound. I do have a theory that it might be because they are mimicking me crying but I’m completely unsure and just need some help. (please ignore my account haha)

Thank you for informing me, I was double checking as its my first time raising quails. Is it just a random sound they make time-to-time?
