Weird Coturnix Quail crying?

Thank you for informing me, I was double checking as its my first time raising quails. Is it just a random sound they make time-to-time?

It seems to be a mild alarm sound. They usually make it when something is bothering them, but not something that is an immediate threat.

As a general rule, happy quail are quiet quail.
