We just went to the coop to check on the chickens. We have roosts in there for them. They are 9 and 6 weeks. We found 2 of them sitting on boards up on rafters. It is a flat board that was just sitting at the top of our rafters and then another one of them was in another hole up there. All the rest of the 11 were over on the roosts. We don't have their nesting boxes yet. These are all pullets except for the 27 meaties that are on the other half of the divided coop for one more week. There is a banister but they can get to the other side if they fly over.

My chicks arrived this February and they were supposed to get the first egg the beginning of August, but we've gotten 6 eggs so far, so I would put up nest boxes just to be safe.[IMG]
