Weird Egg With A Tail Thing

I Just went out for my afternoon egg gathering (my favorite thing!) and I got this weird egg with what looks like an umbilical cord or weird tail thing. Anyone know anything about this and why it would happen?

I wouldn't worry too much about it. I had something similar but it was 2 eggs attached together with the cord on the end. It worked itself out and they are all laying normal now.
