My pullets recently started laying and one just laid a squishy egg. What does this mean? Is it just because she’s new at it?

It could mean that they do not have enough calcium. Are they on layer feed and/or do they have access to oyster shell?
If they do (or even if they don't), it's probably just because she is new at laying

One of mine started laying Friday, and she first laid one normal egg, then two squishy ones at the same time two days later. One was broken, but they were stuck together so I know they were laid together. Then nothing, then the next day a normal egg. I am guessing I will be getting several squishy eggs before she gets into a routine.

It’s all normal , they are not machines , weird things happen . Since they can’t tell us what’s going on we just guess.

You’ll see more things that make you scratch your head , just make sure they have everything they need and have fun
