Chirping
First, I'm sorry if this is under the wrong section. It seemed the most relevant, although this is in no way an emergency. I'm wondering if this has to do with a past injury?
Anyway, I have a sweet Leghorn hen who lays eggs like this almost everyday. The shells are not smooth, & they are warped. What causes this?
Background: I got her (& a few other hens) from someone on Craigslist a few years ago. This leghorn in particular was pretty rough when I brought her home. She has a very big, floppy comb but there was no life to it, it just lay flat against the side of her face, & she didn't have a tail. Her comb has since plumped up & she re-grew a tail after molting. She is a completely different (& spunky!) hen these days! Are her weird eggs from some past internal injury type thing, or is something wrong right now?
