WEIRD EGG?!!

My hen laid a very strange looking egg. It is very pointy on one end! Here is a pic. The same hen that has laid this is very healthy

and is an excellent layer

Every now and then there is an anomaly in the 'production line' - generally it is nothing to worry about.

I had a hen that laid 3 or 4 eggs like that in a row, and after that they returned to normal. I actually thought they were pretty cool, and it was good to be able to tell who was laying what egg for that 4 day span. There is nothing wrong with the chicken, however, so no worries about that.

I've had the same thing happen for about 4 days in a row, as cstronks experienced. Mine was with an EE.
