Hi!

I am wondering if anyone every encountered this, I was amazed to see it happen.

So I have 1 Drake and 3 hen ducks, all around 6 months old. The Drake was swimming with one of the female ducks and started mounting her. My Cayuga duck (pretty sure she's female), ran into the pool and chases the make duck around, grabbed his neck and mounted his back. Then went back to normal.

She has no curl feather and quacks up a storm, she's my morning alarm clock. She hears my phone ring and starts yelling with it from outside

She is the smallest of the group, the male is a crested Peking, so it amazed me to see this small girl rule the roost that way.

Has anyone encountered this?

Here's a picture of her.

Thanks!

Mine will stack themselves 3 high. I’ve seen a female climb on top of my drake mating another female and try to mate and the one time a female was on top of another female and the drake climbed on. Ducks get up to all sorts of things

I've got 3 yr old girls who mount each other all the time too. I also have young ones but haven't seen them do it......yet. Sometime when one drake is mounting a girl another drake or girl will come along and try to knock the mounted drake off the girl. It gets to be a mess for sure but they all do it.

Lots of duck shenanigans.... and in my yard.. the fact that most of them are related doesn’t help....😂
