Hi I purchased chicks from McMurrays and they came 2 weeks ago. Oh they are cute but tonight I noticed that 2 have weird foot problems not seen before. The legs appear to semi-work when the chicks are set down but soon there after the legs fold up and the feet seem to be useless an also fold in on them selves. They are kept in a brooder in the garage with straw as their bedding. I have had chickens for years and never seen this. [IMG]

I also got chicks from McMurray just over a week ago. One of ours has leg problems. One leg is swollen and held up against the body. That chick isn't growing well either. He spends more time under the heat lamp than the other chicks, and only occasionally goes for food and water (thus, he is also smaller than the others).

I don't expect him to make it. I haven't figured out what it is or what is causing it or how to help, but I wanted you to know that you're not alone.
