This egg was found in the coop this morning. I'm not sure who laid this, but it may have been one of the pullets. I have read many times that pullets will have very strange eggs when they first go into lay. Could one of the Easter Egger pullets have laid this? Does it just have a massive amount of green bloom on it? All of the chickens are acting normal; everyone seems to be fine, though I have heard chickens will hide anything wrong with them to not show weakness. Should I be concerned if I see any more of these?

Also, when cracked open, the egg had an egg inside of it.

If it’s a one time thing, probably just a fluke. Cool looking egg!

Same consistency as a normal yolk?
Was there albumen(whites) surrounding yolk?

Hopefully it was a one off glitch,
but could be some kind of infection or gross anatomical abnormality too.
The yolk was still whole, but it was white-ish translucent and more runny than the normal egg. When we opened up the egg, the yolk fell to the ground, so we couldn't get any good pictures of it.

There were whites in the inner egg, but it was also runny.

Which kind of infection would it be, if it was to be an infection?
