I just brought this goose home and noticed she was walking weird. It looked like she had poop stuck to the bottom of her foot but nope, it's whatever this is. How can I help her?

I would get these feet clean with some vinegar or epsom salt water, and post another pic.
That's a good idea, I'll do that. When I bought them last night (I bought 3 from the same lady) she didn't say anything about it. They were already in a kennel of hers ready to go when I got there and we just transferred them over to mine and I took them home. It wasnt until I got home and let them run around that I saw it.

Now that I think about it, it could also be burns from standing in waste. I've seen it in neglected chickens but never a goose so didn't even think of it.

I actually bought a pack of chicken feet many years ago with a similar affliction. I was buying them as a treat for my dogs but ended up chucking them because of how bad the wounds were.

That's interesting. I live in southern Arizona and summers here get really hot. I wonder if they could be burns from the hot ground? Especially since all they had at their previous home was dirt and rocks.

I reached out to a sebastopol geese breeder out here and this is what she said..

"It's an old callus likely from an old infection such as bumble foot. Nothing can be done now, it will be there the rest of the birds life unless you remove it. Unless it's causing pain I would leave it be. It's looks like there are a few pressure sores on the foot as well. It happens with these large growing birds especially if they are on hard ground."
