So all of my ladies had their first molt this December, except one who has now decided to do it. I have to say she's rather smart waiting until it warmed up but it's a little weird. She is also the alpha hen and she is a barred rock. I have two BR, two EE and two silkies. Everyone else is laying fine except the molting BR and the other BR. When my molting hen stopped laying so did the other. Has anyone heard of this before? I will be very interested to see if and when the molting BR starts laying again that the other will too. It literally stopped at or around the same time and she is not molting and she was laying just fine up until then.
