I caught one of our more skittish Americana hens today, and realized something off about her neck. I took a closer look, and there was some tan mite like bug in her feathers and odd white clumps of white things that I’m assuming may be the eggs on the base of her feathers right under her beak. She acts normal and it does not seem sensitive. We do have one rooster with dust mites in the process of treating, but any suggestions or diagnosis?? I’ll attach some of the photos I managed to get without her freaking out.
