I just adopted this pullet from a friend two days ago. She is nearly 4 months old. She's been with my flock for 48 hours, and yesterday, she acted normally. Today when I went out there, she was making this noise.

Everyone from both flocks is perfectly healthy, so I'm not sure what to think.

I am not sure why she keeps making such an odd noise. Puzzling?

I caught her (not an easy feat- she doesn't know me yet and therefore isn't too tame to me). I wanted to check to see if maybe she was choking on something. Her mouth looked normal. Throat felt normal. I held her on my lap and petted her, and she fell asleep. While asleep, she'd breathe quietly, and not make any sound.

So, I'm wondering if it's the stress of moving to a new place? She was picking on some of her former flockmates, and was taken out of her regular coop for a day or two before I got her, so I'm wondering if it was just one too many changes and she's upset.

I went out to check on her this morning, and she was walking around like normal, quietly. So, she seems fine.

I've decided that she'll be named Wheezy though.
