Weird poop on the butt. Help!

We have this issue for 2 of our chickens. What is going on and what can we do?

Poopy butts can be common if the hen has had some loose droppings. I wouldmcheck the vent and lower abdomen for lice and mites. Then pull of any dried droppings, and trimany excess fluff. If the vent is still dirty, give a quick soapy wash just to her vent if it is warm enough. A bucket or plastic dishpan works well.
