I was hoping to stay more natural, but everything we tried failed. I ended up having to use Sevin dust on the hens last night. Since it's a harsh pesticide & carcinogen for humans, I've been nervous about holding any of the girls today because of the potential for residual dust on their feathers.
Does anyone know how long it should take before all the residual dust is likely off them? I don't want the kids to touch them if there is any risk whatsoever of them getting any of the Sevin powder on them.
