Weird rooster is a coward with the ladies?

I will not stop picking him up and cuddling him for the 5 minutes a day that’s the only reason my older rooster didn’t end up like his brother in a broiler on my sisters farm. Some physical contact is good and more experienced people than I have vouched for it. But I am sorry if it came off as though I coddle him all day. Just a few minutes of the day to him and Houdini have kept them both from being aggressive.

I agree, I find that holding a rooster gets it to be more tame and calm when I'm around..... those that are left to their own demise are usually skittish and unsure of where you both stand so they will test you by trying to pick fights to find out where you and him stand in the pecking order. My rooster kicked me a few times but after holding it every once in awhile when I go in the coop, he seems to be a lot more calm.
