Weird Silkie Chick Has Poo Problems

I have a 1 week old silkie that seems to have a very short rear end. It had a pasty butt, which I've dealt with before, but now it's different.

It's vent is red and sticking out, and it dribbles out white stuff, which is sticking to it's backside. this white stuff is almost like chalk, and does not soften with the warm baths i've been giving her. i keep having to pick it off. does anyone know what to do? i applolgize for my typing one hand is holding the chick in a towel.

my thought is that the white stuff is urates..

it's possible the chick has some sort of deformity since you say it looks odd..

I'd try smearing a little mineral oil on the area to help keep from pasting..

Thanks alot I think it had a protruding rectum. I tried putting it back in, i think it will be doing much better now. I will keep an eye on it.
