Weird Silkie Laying Problem

My silkie hen has just laid her first clutch. She went broody for a few days, then she was off for a few days. She broody, then off. Well the eggs are obviously not alive anymore...

And she continues to lay right on top of them! There's like 10 eggs (or more) and she very sporadically sits on them.

This IS her first clutch. Has anyone ever experienced this?

Don't count them out just yet.... my broodies all sat sporadically until they had a full clutch laid. And they all got a pretty good hatch rate

Now she seems to have two clutches in the nesting box...

There's like 20 eggs in there; im going to take out the old ones....

Hope she continues with this new clutch.
