When I read the title of this thread, this is the first thing that I thought of. Nothing like Bristol Dragway where the fuel burning tire turning fumes and smoke are trapped in the valley. Probably kill most normal folks. Did I mention it takes about a week to get your hearing straight after a weekend of it.

Amazing how small the world is!! Was thinking the same thing.. Been to Bristol. Grew up in a drag racing family and my brother still does.
Anywho, other weird smells I actually like, the smell of DH's pillow, a freshly opened bag of cat food, and the smell of new electronics.

Many of the things already mentioned.

I grew up near a pulp mill. Most people thought it stunk, but I always thought it smelled like roasting turkey.

Imp- makes me hungry just thinking about it.

Thought of another that most people would consider "stinky", marigolds!!!!!! Probably because its a smell from my childhood, my mom did and still does have lots of them growing during the summer.

I love the smell of:

My daughter
hot summer electrical storm
gasoline
cut hay
old barns
finger nail polish
wood fire
cats
dogs faces right next to their eyes
horses
cows
chickens
tool sheds
fresh line dried laundry

The smell of my sons kindergarten room - as soon as I walk in I get taken back to my childhood because of the smell of all the lunch boxes. Vegemite sandwiches have a destintive smell
