hey everyone, I am on day ten with my eggs, and I was wondering if anyone can post a link to a candled egg that was twins. I have one egg that has moving dark spots on both sides of the egg. I was wondering if it was possibly a twin or if I am growing some sort of monster beast. they are bearded buff silkies. anyone have any insight?!

Twins in chickens happens. I've never had this happen to me, but some here have. If they are 2 chicks in 1 egg, they will not hatch on their own and most likely will die before hatch date. Type "twin chicks" in the search bar.

I candled this afternoon and had the same thought! I'm on day 9 and have only been seeing one eye these past few days, so I think she's just grown in length a lot and I see one end of her on each side of the egg. Do you think that could be your situation too? Or is the spot really dark like another eye?

I definitly did not see an extra yolk really, so maybe it was that it grew to the other side of the egg:) Im such a rookie!

I can't say for sure with-out a picture.
Last year my twin chicks looked similar to what you described when candled.

There are a couple of You Tube videos that show twin chicks hatching. They needed help to hatch.
