Weird tumor/egg

I soaked her in hot water for 20 minutes last night, and took a better look at the vent. I’m by no means an expert as I usually don’t look at my chickens this close. I can see the vent, it may stick out an eight of an inch, but nothing major. I tried inserting my finger a little bit but couldn’t feel anything egg like. It looked like I would still need to go a couple of inches in to get to the area where the “egg” is. Her belly seemed a bit hard and red, I don’t know if the hardness is normal, and I suspect the red could be from the hot water. From the outside it doesn’t look like there is a direct path from the egg to the vent. For this to work it looks like I would need to push the egg back inside her, and then push it through. I will soak her and try again this evening.
