I don't know much about 'shine, but there were 5 stills within a half mile of our house growing up. All different families. One was bad rotgut stuff, the others were fine quality. Looked like water, very little taste, but drink a snuff glass full and you couldn't hit the ground with your hat.

btw, when you buy 'shine you are buying product that is cut 50% with spring water. The purestuff would kill ya.
