Weird wing feathers

I would like to get it out of the way first that this is not at all an emergency but just seems to be the most appropriate place to post this.

So star my barred rock has had weird looking wings for a while but after waiting (5+ weeks) to see if it was just her growing it really hasn’t change. It doesn’t affect her at all but just seems strange to me and was wondering what is causing it.

Pretty normal. It is hard to get her to sit still long enough to get a great look at it. I did notice today that it seems to fix itself if she extends her wings. I don’t know what she is doing to cause it to happen though.

She may not be preening it back into place. Perhaps there's something wrong with it. You could try pulling it out. It will be replaced with a new one and it may fix it. It may be slightly loose already.
