Weird wound on roosters comb? And strange patch on bum?

on my roosters large comb when he had frostbite it got to the back middle of his comb so it still could be, in that case cover it with petrolieum jelly.

Ok will do. Now I found this on him as well. He doesn't have lice/mites. What could this be on his bum?

His feathers are wet because I bathed him. Nothing was poopy.

That's what I was thinking but the lady told me she he was the boss when they had other roo's. Could be a cock fight injury as it looks old. He pecks the ladys when confined and he din't have any other roo's around with him when I got him. Unless he pecks him self when confined too?
All the other hens had the same thing on their bum as him but worse. I did watch him peck them in that area though and he loves to ride the ladys too. I just want to make sure it isn't a disease or something.

I have a fairly expensive show hen coming tomorrow as well as a good flock on the other side of the house that I really don't want to catch anything. So I want to be sure any of this isn't contagious. Though I will be keeping him in a pen on the other side of the house for 2 more weeks.

In the absence of physically seeing mites, I would still dust him with a poultry dust before I introduce him to the others. Unless you see other symptoms ( loss of appetite , poop crusted around vent, etc ) I wouldn't worry too much about the feather loss. When was the last time he was wormed?

I wormed him with ivermectin pour on this morning an hour or 2 before his bath. I still haven't gotten my hands on a better wormer. Any advice?

Glad to hear its not something like fowl pox! Phew!

I use fenbendazole goat wormer, with great success. It's sold as safeguard in the states.
There are many threads on wormers on this site. Probably worth a look when you have the time.
I just got some of that from TSC and gave him some this evening. Thanks! I've been putting antibiotic and anti fungal on his comb spots. Hope they clear up. Don't know what to do for the feather less red bum other than I gave him a bath.

Nustock is a farm store cream made out of sulfur and pine tar, and it works wonders on vent gleet, scaley leg mites, and any raw areas from feather loss or pecking. It is also an anti-fungal because of the sulfur. Works great although a bit strong smelling.
