I have a black star sex link rooster, and he is my only rooster. in the spring, we collected 5 or so eggs and 4 hatched (one died half-way through incubation). three of them came out of green eggs, 1 came out of a blue egg. my problem is the one that came out of the blue egg was white, so it is an amerucauna. which makes sense. but two of the green eggs hatched rhode island red chicks and the other one hatched one that is a star sex link. according to the internet, rhode island reds lay brown eggs. so are they not purebred like the people we bought them from said they were or is this just some weird occurance?
