Weirdest Things Your Chickens Have Done

My EE hen, Twyla, got stuck hanging upside down from her perch. I came in one night and was counting my chickens when I noticed something off. Upon looking closer, I discovered Twyla hanging upside down from one of her legs that somehow managed to get stuck between the perches and the wall. I still don't know how she managed to do that, especially with a perch that hasn't had any issues before or since, but that's Twyla for you.

And before that the same bird flew into a broken window and sliced her wing before we were able to fix it. Twyla has been my accident prone girl and she's a whiner at that.

My cross beak demands that I make her wet mash into little clumps and if I’m not fast enough for her she pecks my arm to remind me that I’m not doing a good enough job

My Chocolate Orpington, Pigwidgeon, was feeling especially territorial one day and went after a squirrel!

He will pick up dried leaves, poop, drops of water, dead grass, sticks, and more random things.

OMG mine does the same!!!! My Sapphire gem roo calls his girls to eat pine shavings, wild bird poop, styrofoam (don't worry we put an end to that right away) and other weird things. When his girls get there, they are very confused to why he was calling them, so they just walk away

My silky rooster once got stuck under a 5 gallon bucket for a couple days soaking wet from a past storm, we heard crowing but couldn’t find him, sorry forgot to mention this, we did find him eventually and if we hadn’t he would’ve died
