Hi guys and thanks for the warm welcome. I am Tony and the wife and I, Brooke, are the owners of Home and Barn Basics. No Nifty-Chicken has not had a chance to sample everything we sell, but I have already done it for him!! I love when I find a new product so I can get it in stock and play with it. It's not just a sales gimmick when I say that I have used nearly everything I sell.
As a young man just starting out, Mom and Dad would buy each of us kids a piece of Rada Cutlery for special occassions like Birthdays and Christmas. Over the years I fell in love with it and use it almost exclusively. When it became hard to find, I decided to contact the manufacturer and start selling it myself.
Likewise with our poultry products. In the late 90's, I took a break from the Army and bought a small hatchery in South Alabama (Dixie Poultry Farm). I fell in love with chickens and hatching out baby chicks. After Sept 11, 2001, I was recalled to active duty, sold the hatchery, and spent nearly the next 7 years in various nasty places. I just retired and bought a small farm in Tallassee, AL and I am looking at reconnecting with all my fellow chicken fanciers out there.
What I am not is a design artist. So bear with me on the website. I am loading new products every day. If you see something messed up, let me know. If you want something you don't see, call or email me. If you have an emergency and need something now, call me or Brooke.
I look forward to getting to know each of you and being a part of this great online community.
Thanks
Tony & Brooke
