Eirwen and Pyrros stood quietly in the camp entrance, waiting for all the were-creatures to arrive. Eirwen suddenly felt a tug on the back of her jeans and almost jumped out of her skin. "Merry! I don't have any treats for you! Go back to your paddock," she said sternly to her horse. "You need to teach her not to leave the paddock without you," Pyrros said. "Or get different locks for the gates."
"Thank you for the words of wisdom, O Brilliant One," Eirwen said, her heart rate starting to slow. "She jumps the fences. I can't stop her from doing that."
Jan flew through the woods towards the camp, Marty, Ruby, and Jessa running underneath her. "I see the entrance!" She trilled to Marty. "There are a lot of other were-creatures there. Oh, oh, I can see the High Prince and Princess!"
Pyrros and Eirwen watched as the last few stragglers joined the crowd. They glanced at each-other, then stepped forward into view, shifting into their were-forms as they did. A crown of fire formed around Pyrros's head, as a crown of ice formed on Eirwen's.
Pyrros and Eirwen hovered six feet off the ground. In their phoenix forms they were over three feet tall, so they were well above the heads of the other were-creatures. They were silent, waiting to be noticed.
