So this morning when I got up I had one Welsummer rooster, five Welsummer hens, and I think that Cuckoo Marans hen is a Barred Rock so that what I'm going call her... Well this afternoon after I picked my oldest up from school I drove down to Soddy-Daisy and picked up three Black Australorps, six Light Brahmas, and two Rhode Island Reds. They are straight run so I'm curious to see what how many are pullets.
Now while my DH said that I could have more he has no idea that I have these little ones. Oops he will figure it out soon I guess.
Sadly, I have to buy eggs. After going so long eating fresh eggs those things freak me out... I try not to eat them by themselves because they taste funky to me now.
Does that make me an egg snob?
