FluffyButts55 here! Some of you might have seen my earlier post about our chicken Pancake; But I didn't get to introduce myself properly soooooo..... Welcome to my flock! We started looking after chickens about 1 year ago after we found a stray chicken in our old shed! we converted the shed into a chicken coop, and started our chicken journey! Our once stray chicken Penny, is the most loving granny hen there is!
She comes to our door every morning for cuddles (and the occasional treat). She has some problems with her feathers right now, and i'm not sure if she is molting, any suggestions? She does not have mites. The first and second picture are of her. We have two handsome roosters; The ameraucana rooster was expected, but the tiny silkie roo wasn't! I don't know if he thinks he is a hen or rooster, because his favourite thing to do is make a nest in the nesting boxes and squeak about it!
his name is alpaca, and the ameraucana's name is quail, which is definetly a misnomer, because he is the biggest chicken in the flock!( He isn't really a fan of me taking pictures of him.) We also have 2 white sussex,(Squash and Buttercream) 2 barred plymouth rocks,(midnight and blackberry) 1 silkie hen named crumb, and 4 Rhode Islands. (cookie dough, burnt pancake, stripe, and timbit.) p.s. the silkie hen probably needs a haircut again. Thanks for reading!
