The day was getting dark. Hailey nuzzled herself into her warm blanket, missing home. She wished she was normal like everyone else in the world. Her eyes began to fill with tears, one by one they dripped down her pale cheeks. Her pet lizard laid at the end of her bed. Hailey closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep. The next morning, she awoke to the lick of her sweet lizard named Crystal. She jumped out of her bed and slipped on her fuzzy slippers. Today was her very first day of being at RubyStone Academy. She sighed, looking down at the mark on her arm as she walked down through the hallway. Her mind was filled with many thoughts.
