The other day I layed a chicken to rest under my apple tree so her body would continue to give back to this beautiful earth. I built a rock cairn out of lava rocks and then planted a blue hyacinth in front of her. Shes in my heart.
I am very sorry to hear of your loss. I know how you feel. Last year we lost our beloved Silkie, Ellenore I, to a hawk, and when we found her we were horrified by the site of a hawk sitting right on top of our dear friend. We moured her loss for over a few days, and still to this day it still feels like she's around even though in reality she's no longer with us. Here's a hug.
Dear CB; I'm so sorry about your clarise. In time, you will remember her and smile. I had a daschund dog named Stretch. We called him "Strechie", several years ago we lost him, it sill makes us a little sad, but every time we remember him we also laugh and smile. I hope to be a good chicken mom like you someday soon. Take of yourself and God Bless you.
thank you all i really appreciate it. and aunt emma you will be everyone on here gets attached to their babies at one point or another. unless their meat birds then im pretty sure no one wants to get attached to those lol. i think its better to laugh then to cry a joke is good in a time like this
