These
are my new little hatchlings. For those who did not see my previous posts, I started with 10 eggs, one did not develop, and out of the remaining 9 eggs, 7 hatched!!!! This was my first try so I am pretty excited about the whole deal. My family even joined in on the excitement once their fuzzy little butts hatched and dried off. Not sure what is up with the one yellow one, the rest are black with yellow spots. Before all the questions, these are Bantam cochins, Papa is a blue (but there is a white cockeral in there, maybe that is why I have one yellow one?) and the Mama's are a blue pullet and a white frizzle pullet. If you glance over at my avatar under my name that is them at about 15 weeks old. With all the mistakes I made along the way, I'd say that 7 out of 10 ain't bad, I will hatch again!! I need more coops!!!

Well, a big thanks to you "Tuffoldhen", I appreciated all the advice and support. I do still have two eggs left in the bator, but today is day 25, if there is no sign by 9:00, they come out and the bator clean up begins.

Your Welcome Muddler...everyone here is always willing to help...that's how you learn ...especially to have patience with a hatch....

Plus we get another Chicken Addict going!...LOL

Now all I have to do is convince my wife to let me build some more coops or One large one!!!. I have one started, but I don't think it is going to be big enough. I have been looking at Tractor plans too. I better pace myself though. WHAT HAVE YOU ALL GOTTEN ME INTO!!!!!!!!
