Well How the Heck did those get in my Bator???????

Hahaha!
I have to build my own pens so my DH shouldn't complain.
I don't even like him near my pens because then he might just realize how many birds I actually have.

Same here.
He knows there are chicks hatching here every week because incubators and hatchers are in the bedroom but never goes in the spare room where all the brooders are.
Good luck with your hatches!

Our eggs are on the same schedule- I have six in the incubator, five under my Turken, and four under my Silkie.

We can wait them out together!

Let the waiting begin!
I have 2 two other batches that are due before these. I need to clean my hatcher and get it going again

I candled the eggs in my incubator- very early, but what can I say??

I could see veins starting in four of them already! I won't candle the eggs under the broodies for a couple weeks- unless I move them somehow to a safe place, away from the other hens. Then, I will candle them at that time. I haven't figured out how to seperate them yet. However, I plan on using the ones in the incubator to give me a clue on how the ones under the girls are doing.

This thread is sooooo funny and earlier last year I could totally relate to it. I mean Snakeman had no clue what I had going on. Ask me no questions and I'll tell you no lies right. lol

There were times I would have 60 or more babies in the house in brooders. Right now I have two brooders in the only room in the house that is his "The snake room" I was hoping he wouldn't notice. {oops} he noticed.

I got it made on the coop building thing though. When I start talking about I need a coop for who ever is ready I get his standard answer "Shut up woman and tell me where you want it. lol

We sorta have an understanding. I don't say anything about the 29 venemous snakes that live in my house and he doesn't say too much about my animals. lol

I do love it when he figures out that the eggs that "were" in the bator have been replaced with other eggs. Like I said "Ask me no questions " lol

gosh! i'm so glad to know i'm not the only one who says this! lol
i just keep telling him how generous chicken folk are, and who am i to turn them down and hurt their feelings. he's looking a bit haunted and green around the gills already this year! lol

My hubby never checks the bator. If he knows eggs are hatching he checks the hatcher and then asks me "what kind are these"

Dont you know that every egg I hatched out last year was free from my BYC buddies?
Don't believe me?

Ask my hubby.
