Well I had to.....

    ...give up my rooster and a polish it broke my heart.... so now I'm down to 6 (knock on wood) hens

    Pattee I'm right with you!! Lots of hugs about giving up the gorgeous birds. The Polish is beautiful! I hope you found a fantastic home for them.

    Was it b/c you're in the city? I live in Tacoma (commute to Seattle) and am praying that my pullets really are pullets. So far so good.

    Am curious about your experiences having chickens in the city!

    No I live in Bellingham and we have a double lot....
    Even tho the neighbors around us and across the street didn't want in roosters around (we already hear one down the block) and I told them they could have eggs.... Well not from roosters! [​IMG]
    The polish was the hardest one to give up and now I wish I could have her babk [​IMG]

    My hens now are in a frenzy and don't want me near them [​IMG]
    Probably think their next! Actually I think they have to settle down and reestablish the pecking order. [​IMG]

    I missed it.... why did you have to give up the hen??????

    I had a cousin that lived in Roslyn, Washington. soooooooooo beautifull out there.

    I grew up in bellingham.. lived on 32nd st.. and graduated from SHS in 1995. I wish I could come back but it is sooo expensive..[​IMG]
