thanks for posting the loo photo, really. I had read several interesting articles about how it was postulated that this method versus ours was better - generally stronger pelvic and thigh and lower back - and made for easier childbirth. And now the signs posted in the oriental market bathrooms make sense. "Please don't stand on toilets".

I saw on the news last night that parts of China is getting blasted with a bad sand storm. That would stink if he went there on vacation and was in that.

those toilets are common all over asia for public toilets.....see the logic is that it's cleaner NOT to put your butt where thousands of strangers have before you....makes sense.....
