Hence, send a friend or family member. Plus, unless the mini-storage owner knows what you look like and is there himself, he won't have a clue who bids.

Like ruth said. You can gfet a friend. Make sure he is reliable. My aunt was supposed to have a friend do it but he never showed up.

It may be cheaper to go bid on the stuff than you think. Most folks wouldn't be interested in the pics n personal things anyway.

if it were me I think I would let everyone know at that sale that the things there were my personal things and I would cry!! If I were at a sale and someone had a situation like yours I would buy the stuff and give it to you.
it sucks, my sister in law just went through that, a storage garage in california, she lives in kentucky now and was in the hospital and couldn't pay, so they auctioned off everything. her personal items she had for 30 years, things my mother gave her, (my mom passed away in 1989)
people don't realize the attatchment to things in storage garages.
My prayers are with you, I hope you get your things somehow.

everything in a storage unit is in there because you care about it and you want to keep it and how they expect someone to just comply with this and not be sad is beyond me

They are heartless and greedy people who want money. I tried reasoning with my aunts storage guy and he was so rude and such a $%#&.

i hate the thought that people can be so heartless twards another person and there belongings.

also does anyone know of a place that would buy a german hitler flag that symbol of hate flag that would pay off storage and i could get it all moved out

I see you're in FL. The tourism is just starting to gear up down there. Any leads for part time work there? How about walmart or the local fast food place. Nothing says you have to stay there forever. You just need a way to make 300 before then.

If you could get a job at $10 and hour you would only have to work one week to do it. You have to look for ways to make this work, not ways to fail. Don't even let that be an option. Mow yards, babysit check with the local motels see if they need housekeeping help. There are jobs to be had and money to be made if you want them.
