Well it all started....

...when I said, "Let's get some chickens and then we'll have fresh eggs". So we got the whole family involved and built a coop/run. We got our first 6 chicks and raised them up. Everyone loved it so. Cute little darlings! Then a relative asked if we wanted 4 more since she couldn't keep them. Sure...what's 4 more right?

So our 6 pullets tuned into 5 pullets and 1 roo (oops) and then 4 more ...which turned into 2 pullets and 2 roos.... Then there was the time we picked up some extras because ya know we had to find homes for the roos and needed more pullets.

You all know how it goes right?

We're heading into our second year... In a few weeks we are getting a dumpster and cleaning out a garage/shed area so that we can build a bigger coop/run and some grow out pens. I picked up 12 comets, 2 Tetras, and 4 bantams a couple weeks ago. After all they need room in the coop soon and well...we have started selling eggs.

So it goes....just to make sure that everyone here knows... I BLAME ALL OF THE ENABLERS ON BYC!!! So, THANKX!!!

Wellllll.... I forgot to add that I'm also looking into get Guineas too!
