i just "won" an ebay auction for a dozen Button eggs......i held off as long as i could ( it was just too much,i couldn't hold myself back) . Thanks to all the people who have posted Button pictures on here and tortured me with their beautiful birds.
i'm wondering if i have marbles for brains...or quail eggs as the case may be !

now i have to go and build some more cages . At least i already have most of the materials needed.
and can someone tell me what the space requirement for a pair is ...i checked the sticky but it doesn't have that specific info in it.

I have heard people on here say that a hamster cage is big enough but I have found that mine are always pacing in a hamster cage. The smallest enclosure I have is a 60 quart rubbermade bin. Each one has at least one hiding/nesting spot usually 2 or more. I turn a pencil cup or flower pot on its side, and put in plastic plants for them to hide around. Pacing is a sign of anxiety. If they're pacing, they are not comfortable in their cage.

Um, that's pretty small, 20 sq inches equals a 4"x5" cage for a pair. I doubt they'd be able to turn around in such a small space. Did you perhaps mean 20" x 20" ?

Yes, that's what I understood too. He didn't say 20 sq. inches, he said 20 inches square. So that means 20" x 20" to me too.
